The Marshfield CLT is registered as a Co-operative and Community Benefit Society and has a formal set of rules that specify the purpose, objectives and limitations of the CLT. We have members of the CLT – 150 of them at the last count in Nov ’19. They have signed up to the objectives and code of conduct of the CLT and have bought at least one £1 share in the CLT. We have an elected board of directors. The directors of the CLT are legally committed to running the CLT according to these rules. The board of directors meets once a month but, because board meetings sometimes have to discuss confidential issues, minutes are not published.
