Marshfield Community Land Trust (MCLT) is is a not-for-profit community benefit society serving the Marshfield parish in South Gloucestershire, UK. As such we are an organisation that can own assets for community benefit. Our initial focus is on providing affordable housing in Marshfield for people with a genuine local connection. We also have an active Energy Working Group who are looking it schemes for efficient use of energy in the community.
CLTs act as long-term stewards of housing, ensuring that it remains genuinely affordable, based on what people actually earn in their area, not just for now but for every future occupier. .
